Yesterday was our pre-drywall walkthrough with our builder. Everything is coming along really great, and there were only a few issues that needed to be addressed. Much to our surprise, they predict that the house will be done several weeks early!
Also, I believe we've found the first contractors who work on Saturday - our siding team!

Since drywall will be going up on Monday, we decided to take a ton of pictures of the interior so we'd be able to see where the ductwork, plumbing, and wiring all ran.
Doug's office, and a view from the dining room to the kitchen and laundry room.

The stairs, looking from the first-floor bathroom (L), and the living room (R). This was one of the very few 'trouble spots' - the area right in front of the steps going downstairs was a bit squeaky, so they'll put some shims below it and add a few nails for good measure.

The jacuzzi in the master bath. The windows right above it are the swing-out crank type, and it overlooks our back yard and the wildlife preserve behind our property.
The shower in the master bath. The triangular nook that you can barely see on the right of the picture has an empty space below it that is just covered with drywall. At some point, I'll build a small cabinet here to store bath salts and soap for the tub.

I also added some additional extras to the house - three additional ethernet/data ports and wiring for an in-speaker Surround sound system in the living room.

Honestly, I hate our structured wiring contractors - they would've charged me well over $700 to do what I did for seventy five bucks for a 1000 foot spool of Cat5e cable, three .47 cent wall boxes, and a Saturday morning in 'sweat equity'. Each data port alone from our wiring company costs a ridiculous $275. Take
that, structured wiring contractors!
